Pick me up

On friday (2nd of may 2014) me and the other illustrators and graphic designers from my uni went to the Somerset House in London to see the "Pick me up" show it was a graphic/ illustration/ print based show, I found it really interesting and I liked how we got the chance to get involved with takes when we went round, I found this useful as we are doing a print based project in class at the moment.

these were some of the pieces i saw as i went round.

this is the drawing i did in the bit where we could join in, we was told to draw an animal/ human and combine it with a object, i chose to do this as cats belly's are already and object.

foundation diploma (2012-2013)

some of the work i did last year as apart of my FDA in art and design

these are some pieces i did at the start of the year, i was given the brief "colourific" and i looked at the naturally colours and how they change in nature, the leaves i collected are dipped in to resin to preserve them and with thread tied to a stick to give it a natural effect, the eye is massive and pointillism and took me 11 hours to complete!

This project was "the links between science and art" so i looked at the start of life, in humans and in starts and compared how the embryonic sac looked like a nebular, unfortunately in never got my final pice made with was a hand embroidered series of embryos at different stages in prints of nebulas, i used a lot of print in this project such as mono print and collorgraph,

This project was my fmp (final major project) for this we got to make are own brief, i chose "the day in the life of a cat"  i wrote and illustrated a story about a cat that goes on a adventure to the milky way. i used fish eye photography to give the effect of a cats eyes view, i also made a ceramic cat and more hand embroidered images like i had done in my project before.
Hi this is my new illustration blog, i tried with tumblr but didn't get the response i wanted so i'm hoping i will get a better one here.
